'Breakeven'--The Script COVER Max Schneider

Another Max and Kurt cover, yes... that's cause they're so good!
So this one's just amazing. I think it's the best cover Max has done.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WKcVt1Cn5BI
Let's start from the beginning.
His voice is kinda rusty, but... the perfect amount of rusty. He sounds so good. And the falsetto... sounds amazing!! Best falsetto I've ever heard. EVER.
As for the video, it's just him singing and Kurt playing piano, so there's not much there. (Not that there's something bad about it. I like it.)
There's that falsetto again... <3 sounds soo good...
Over, a... well, what else? 10/10.

Max and Victoria--Maroon 5 Medley

I'm not going to do a review on it. I don't like it. Honestly. I still love the Bruno Mars one, though. But as of right now, the numbers of thumbs-up on my comment are shooting sky-high! It's the highest-rated comment. :) EDITED--Okay. Guys. KURT DELETED MY COMMENT! Or he must have, cause I had 49 thumbs-ups, and then now it's GONE!!

Forever 21 is AMAZING... or... not really??

I went to Forever 21 today. It wasn't all that great. All I ended up getting was two camis (undershirts... for some reason I like wearing them under t-shirts so it give a layered look) and a headband. I also discovered a new lipstick (DON'T get me wrong: I don't wear makeup. But my mom was looking at it, and she decided to get it). It's SO COOL-- it brings out your own lip color, so it's different for every single person!! The color for me and her were so different, but we used the same one! It actually looks natural, so it doesn't look at all like you have lipstick on. I'm not going to wear it 24/7, but it's really cool!

AWESOME Filming Day!

This isn't a review... It's actually about today. :D I got the privilige to play a lead role in a short film. I had an extremely fun five-hour filming day. All the extras were really fun (although a lot younger than me), and it was just an overall awesome day! I can't wait to see the final project!!

'Somebody I Used to Know'--Gotye COVER Max Schneider

First of all, with Max, you can just tell how passionate he is with his music. You can hear it in his voice, see it in his face, and just every single time he opens his mouth you can immediately see all the passion.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a2RA0vsZXf8&list=UUplkk3J5wrEl0TNrthHjq4Q&index=46&feature=plpp_video
I like this song. I personally like the original instrumentation, but... I mean, they can't do that with a piano. And Kurt is an amazing musician. He did great, as always.
Max's falsetto was impressive.
Not much more to say. It's amazing.
10/10, definitely.

'We Are Young'--Fun, COVER Sam Tsui

I know, this is, like, the fourth Sam Tsui review in a row, but that's cause he's so good.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9TonYtSDTdE&feature=relmfu
This is the only one of his covers so far that's actually pretty close to the original. It has Kurt Schneider, who is also an amazing musician on YouTube.
So the music... is great...
The video is them singing...
I give this a 10/10.

'What Makes You Beautiful'--One Direction COVER, Sam Tsui

Again, this is very different from the original. The beginning doesn't start out with the well-recognized bass line. Instead, it's a piano melody.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gPoWVOQX2Ls&feature=relmfu
I love the piano part in the chorus.
His falsetto doesn't have the... falsetto effect. It just sounds like he's singing really high-pitched.
I give this a 9.5/10.

'Call Me Maybe'--Carly Rae Jepsen, COVER Sam Tsui

This song IS everywhere, just like in the description.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YQo-MmE3SG8&feature=plcp
This is a very different take on the song, a lot more acoustic.
Instead of a hard, catchy chorus, it's softer with the piano.
I love the rythmn of the piano at 0:20-0:23.
Overall, I give this... 9/10.

'If I Die Young'--The Band Perry, COVER by Sam Tsui

This is a cover.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gu9-5SS8V8M&list=PL5259A14B803E0633&index=5&feature=plpp_video
He has an amazing voice, and I like this song.
The video is just him singing, and even so it's amazing.
This song gets 10/10.

'Somewhere Only We Know'--Keane

This is one of my favorite songs.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oextk-If8HQ
I love the guy's voice. It's perfect for the mood of the song.
As for the video, if they were going for a creepy feel, they hit it spot on. They basically get in a car and drive out to this river, where they set up their stuff (the singer's seat, a drumset, and a broken-down piano) and play. But the thing is, in the car you see a little alien-like figure sitting next to them. And when they're singing in the river, you see leaves falling in the distance. Near the end, it focuses on one of the leaves and it turns into one of those figures. Then it lands, and more and more appear. It focuses on one, and a little fire-like thing appears where it's heart would be. The same thing happens to all the figures around it. The lead singer kind of steps back, as if he wasn't really expecting it (I wouldn't), and by then the band is surrounded by little creatures, all with fire hearts.
My best guess is that it symbolises inspiration... I really can't say, though.
I would give this song a 10/10, and the video a 9/10.

'Make it in America'--Victoria Justice (and cast of 'Victorious')

'Make it in America' is... well, you know, Victoria Justice, who has a great voice.
The music: the song didn't really... it sounded kind of typical, actually. Except for her voice. Her voice is great.
And the music video was actually pretty typical, too. You know, band drives out from desert to go play at some outside party.
Not much to say on this one.
I would give Victoria Justice 10/10, but the song and video 7/10.

'Parables'--Starring Ciara Bravo

You guys all know that Ciara Bravo is my favorite actress.
So this is something a little different: it's a review for a short film she was in.
It was a while ago, when she was about eleven.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0BKFHkM4XJs

Summary: after realizing that people sometimes just need a friend, a young girl offers to sit with a girl who usually is alone.

A short film is, well, a short film. It's about four minutes long.
So. Onto the review part.
Well... the acting is pretty good. I think the best one in this film was Kyla Bass, who plays Lana (a girl who has a hard time making friends and whose parents are constantly arguing). Ciara was really good, but some lines she said a little fast and kinda missed the moment. One extra really annoyed me... she kinda of stuck the wrong emotion to the wrong moment.
I would really like to see more of Kyla Bass. She was really, really good. I don't think she has been in anything lately.
The background music is pretty perfect.
And... the storyline is really good, too.
The lighting was spot-on.

I give this short film a 9.7/10 (some of the acting could have some work).

OLD IS THE BEST!!

So thanks to Bookworm, my blog is now back to the old interface, which means I might post more. *might*
Cause there's not really much to post, as explained in the last few posts...
But I'll still do reviews.
In fact, I will now do a review. :)
