First Part of the Story

I posted the first part of the story I was talking about on 'Sophie's Stories.'
I decided to name it "Saving Professor" but it'll probably change.
And in case you guys forgot where my Sophie's Stories blog is, it's here:
www.annasophiestories.blogspot.com

Change to My Story

For those of you who have read my post "My Story," I changed it...
I changed what Asher Dakota was going to do. It used to be that he would somehow get rid of gravity, but I have not idea how I would make that work...
So how he's going to be trying to burst every water tower in the state.
And... they'll live in... Michigan.

I Feel Like Posting a Picture, So...

Can anyone guess what these are?
Sam, I can probably show you sometime soon... Next week, I think.
Elizabeth, you know what it is. Don't give it away!
Oh, and I didn't use any color change on these pictures. This is how it looks. It's pretty amazing if you see it in first person...

My Story

I have an idea for a story I think I'll write.
It's about two twins (one girl, one boy) named Petra and Collier who are eleven years old, but already doing tenth grade work at a bording school.
Their favorite teacher, Professor Kreisler, begins to act strange and is always late to class. He sometimes rushes out of class for no apparent reasons, and sometimes he skips class entirely.
The school board decides to fire him, but Petra and Collier don't want him to go. Because they are different genders, they live on opposite sides of campus and don't see each other very often. But when both unexpectly meet while following Professor on one of his rushed journeys, they realize that they have to stick together.
They try to stay hidden, but Professor finds them the next day. He is not surprised, though-- he is relieved, because he needs them to do secret work for him.
He reveals that he does "underground" work and is trying to stop a former student, Asher Dakota, from exploding every water tower and water resovoir in the state.
Unfortunately, Professor does not know how Dakota plans to do this. But he does know that Dakota is looking for a young child to teach, because he isn't sure he'll be able to carry out his plan in his own lifetime.
Petra and Collier jump at the chance. Petra cuts her hair to look like Collier, so the two are nearly identical. They take turns learning from Dakota, and switch places at night.
This goes on for a long time, with Petra and Collier learning more and more about the plan. Sadly, everything is set, and they can't figure out how to stop it.
One day before Dakota plans to carry out the plan, he goes missing.
Petra and Collier both look for him. They find him in a hidden underground cell with an extremely high fever.
The twins know that there is a slim chance he will live, but they are still afraid. When the two apporach him, Dakota is confused and thinks he's seeing double, because he does not know that he was really teaching two kids.
Petra and Collier alert Professor, who comes to their help. Petra and Collier continue confusing Dakota, while Professor crashes the system that is about to set off and burst the water towers.
The three lock Dakota in a cell and alert the police, who come and arrest Dakota.
Professor drives Petra and Collier back to the boarding school, where the twins find out that they had missed so much class that they were expelled.
The next school year, they had Professor come to their home and give them private lessons-- half on the school work, and half on secret agent work.

Circle Stone High

I guess you guys want to hear about my first day at Circle Stone High?
Well, when I first got there I had to find a list that would tell me where to go for my first class (which wasn't going to be a class, just a time for the first day where we would talk about dress code and the such). I found it in the new building, which, by the way was packed with students.
There were wierd people (as in long-haired guys with moustaches, girls wearing dresses... seriously? dresses?) and normal looking people.
I just kinda stood by the wall and waited until we were allowed to go to our classes. When we were, everyone walked down the pathway (and this is, like, a thousand people). I had no idea where I was going. I was just following everyone else. These tall guys behind me were talking to each other, saying, "What grade is she in?" "Looks like an eight-year-old." "Ask her how old she is." I just ignored them, figuring that I wouldn't ever have to really see them again. Eventually they walked past me.
I found the classroom I was supposed to be in, where this teacher talked about procedures and whatnot. Oh, and the bell never rang to start class. So technically, the school day never started. And the bell... oh, the bell... it's over the intercom, and it sounds like a church bell. Or, you know, that one bell tune that a lot of old-fashioned grandfather clocks do every hour? It was that, except missing a couple of notes.
So when the bell rang to let us out of the first 'class' thing, I went to my English class.
I walk in the door, and there's a power point up. And, of course-- Spongebob with a speech bubble saying, "Welcome to Pre-AP English!" I turn around, and there's this Spongebob poster. And on the windowsill there were ten Spongebob action figures. I'm sure I'm in for a great year.
We spent the class "getting to know each other" because we only had fifteen people.
And something else about classes at Circle Stone-- there are only four periods in a day. So each one's really long. And there are three lunches, and the one I ended up with is during third period. I'll get to that later.
My second period was Health. The teacher was tall and his hair was kinda long. He had his shirt tucked in, and his pants were pulled up really high. It was another class of syllabus explaining. And we had to write "three statements about myself" on a notecard. What were the examples the teacher gave? "Something like, 'I like to run and frolick in the flowers.'"
Then came third period-- World Geography. I got one of Ch1k3n's old teachers. In fact, this was Ch1k3n's, least favorite teacher. A teacher that got the award of "Hardest Tests." When he was taking roll and got to me, he asked, "Did I have your brother last year?" And he calls us by our last names, so now I have the same name that Ch1k3n did. Anyway, he put this list up on the overhead of countries he'd been to. Then we had to raise our hands, he'd call on one of us, we'd say our name and something about us, then choose a country for him to talk about. And by "talking about the country" he told us a story of his visit. They were really interesting. Like how he got locked out of every building in Wales and didn't have enough money for a hotel, so he slept in a bathroom and got kicked out of that. And he didn't have enough money to enter Finland because of some sort of law he didn't know about, so he had to go to jail and then get deported. And there were the stories where he narrowly escaped death, in which he nearly cried telling.
Halfway through the class, the bell rang for us to go to lunch. The whole way there I was wondering who I would sit with. I trailed behind someone I recognzed who played the flute in band, hoping that maybe I'd be able to sit with her and her friends. So we got there and there were so. Many. People. The lunch lines were masses of people waiting. That's where I was glad I packed my lunch. I looked around for a place to sit, and found this table with two girls who looked like freshman. So I asked if I could sit with them, and of course, they said yes. And lunch was only thirty minutes long, and I was talking about half the time (cause if I wasn't, there would be that awkward silence) so I didn't finish lunch.
Back in World Geography, we did the same thing. And I noticed that he spelled Malaysia wrong. Some geography teacher.
Then was time for fourth period. Speech. I had to walk really fast, cause it was on the other side of campus. It was the new building, and I had no idea whatsoever where in the building the class was, because there were no signs. Two minutes after the bell rang, I found it. I wasn't the only late one; about half the class came in right before me. I found myself surrounded by mostly juniors and seniors. Then we had to go and get our books, but by then I decided that I was going to get out of that class and move to a different subject. I got my book anyway, and when we got back, the teacher gave us an assignment for the next class. I think I'm still going to prepare for it anyway, although I hope that I'll get it changed before then. After that, we had to go and play some toss-the-tennis-ball-to-someone-and-learn-their-name thing. It was really boring and didn't work out right. For the last three minutes, the teacher demonstrated a game called 'Mad Gab.'
Then the bell rang.
So, yep.
I think I can live with it...

Cherry

I am eating a deformed cherry right now.

Seriously...??

Am I really so hard to understand??
I know that the Disney Channel people do the motions with some stick or whatever, and a computer probably makes it glow, but I mean how do they do the motion perfectly? Like no matter how hard anyone tries (you try it yourself) it's so hard to do draw it in the air.
So how do they do the motion so perfectly??

Ohhhhh!!!

I really don't want to see icing anymore today...
I just finished making a birthday cake for my mom. It's strawberry with white icing. Then there's this Hello Kitty that's made out of black icing (it came in this little tube!) except the bow, which is light pink. For the nose, I got half a Starburst, rolled it into an oval, and tucked it down into the icing. Then I outlined it with black icing. Around the edges I put pink and black squiggles. Not crazy squiggles, the wavy kind.
I might be able to upload a picture of it.

Monologue!!

I found this monologue that is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING for me!!
The character's name is... Annasophie!! With other monologues I can't connect myself to it, you know what I mean? Like I can't feel that I'm the character.
I don't know if I'm doing it the way the actress in the movie did it (probably not) but I put my own spin on things, so... yep! I really like it!!
I'm not sure whether it's dramatic or humorous... I think it's dramatic. But I'm still looking, if you find anything else...
Oh, Sam, were you in Jell-O's drama class two years ago? (Jell-O... as in one of Snickerz's best friends??) Cause it's the monologue she did at... the end of the year, around Grandparent's Day.

...Dance... Teacher...??

Because my mom is still in DC, my dance class today was taught by a lawyer. Hmmmmmm...

I Can't Comment, So...

Because I can't comment on my own blog, I will reply to your comments here.
To Sam about the Disney thing-- yeah, I know they probably just do it with a regular stick and in front of a greenscreen, but how do they draw it so perfectly? And it there was something there, then since they usually draw it kinda in front of them, you can't see it.
And to Elizabeth-- okay... but... okay... Cause I just always recognize the pictures... I guess it's okay cause I put of some of your pictures... :)

Cake Mistakes

Wow... Some cake bakeries really mess up...
Here's an example--

And here's another example that I laughed soooo long on...

Enjoy!

Disney Channel Glow Stick Ident

I've always wondered how the actors in Disney draw the Disney logo with their glowsticks. It's always been something I've thought hard about.
Anyone know the answer?

Me Visit

So, as you guys all know, I visited the Woods of Brent today. I was really upset that I was only allowed to visit for lunch. But at least that' better than nothing.
I got to school at around 1:00, and I had about fine minutes to get up to the lockers.
My original plan was to wait outside the band hall until Nikki came out. But while calling Nikki yesterday to find out when lunch started, she told me that she wasn't going to be there today. That made me sad...
So I decided to wait outside the theater classroom until either Sam or Hale came out; then I would jump on them.
I asked Mrs. Reed where the drama room was (I wasn't sure if it had moved), but she said, "I'm sorry you wouldn't be able to join them today, because they are on the stage." I wouldn've explained to her that I wasn't going to 'join' you guys, but I had only two minutes to get up to the lockers.
So I got up there, and when the bell rang, Deirdre came out and went to her locker. She didn't see me, so I snuck up on her (and avoided Mollypop on the way, which made me feel bad) and gave her this huge hug. I momentarily forgot that she disliked hugs, and she screamed. Then she turned around, saw it was me, and screamed again.
And then Snickers walked out of nowhere and screamed, "MIA!!!!" and gave me this huge hug. Hale had the same reaction.
A lot of people just kind of looked at me, then looked back again... thought... and then realization hit them as they went, "Mia! What are you doing here??"
It was a lot of fun. So I followed Hale down and out the door, where I saw Fizzy, Rachelle, Ya-Ya (that's her nickname, apparently... she may like to know what it means "duck" in Chinese...), and Jestar coming up. And, by the way, Jestar, you looked reaaaaaaally confused. It was quite amusing.
At the lunchroom, we... ate. Well, I didn't eat, cause I already had lunch. But I watched everyone eat. At one point, a random tray appeared right over my shoulder... Sam.
Then for about ten more minutes, we watched everyone play basketball. It was nice. Cause I thought, "This is their high school life... Kinda like my middle school life. I'm really going to miss it." It was kinda a reminder that if I ever get to come back, it's all going to be the same.
I had to go after lunch, but even so, Hale tried pulling me to her Spanish class. I stayed with her until Coach came after the bell. Then I left.
It was a good visit.

Fish Camp

Today we started Fish Camp at Circle Stone High. When I first got there, I had to get this packet that had my schedule outline (not my official one) and then I was assigned to a classroom. I followed a stream of freshmen outside, into another building, up a staircase, and through several halls until I got to the hall that my assigned room, 574 was.
I went down the hall, looking for it. Most classrooms had people sitting quietly at the desks, but there was this one classroom with the lights off and a huge mob of boys heading in. And, yes, to my luck-- welcome to Classroom 574.
As I walk in, the high schooler that was in charge said, "Hey, look, all guys!" then he saw me and said, "Yeah! Our first girl!"
Yeah. First girl. ONLY girl.
Thankfully, they let me move to the next room, where I found my orchestra friend, Racket. I took the seat in front of him, but that didn't really matter anyway, cause we had to stand up and play this name game (which I am not going to explain).
Then we went on this little tour around the school. They have a new building, too, and the new library. Is. AMAZING.
No, seriously, it's so fancy and it's twice as big as the Woods of Brent's new band hall. It has those sofa chairs and at least thirty flat-screen computers, with really cool mounted lights on the columns and matching light/chandeliers. It's quite amazing. I think Skandie would like it.
But what really caught my eye was the FRESHMAN theatre room. It's a stage. Literally. Okay, no, it doesn't go up, but it's just like a stage. Completely black room, lights from the ceiling, other kinds of lights and cameras all around, it was AMAZING!!!!!!
I really hope the schedule they gave me is really messed up (cause they put me in both band and orchestra) so I can be in Theatre. I would be soooo excited if I get in!!!!!
The worst part? Waiting forty-five minutes in a line to get our IDs made. Okay, imagine this-- hall. Regular halls. With three hundred freshmen crammed inside in a line. (And that wasn't even our whole class... Not even half...)
And then after all that waiting, I was only halfway through the line. And then they made us get out and go to the Lecture hall where we listened to a teacher talk about expectations and such. And then came the "pep rally."
This school is really, really quiet. And the cheerleaders? I thought the Woods of Brent's cheerleaders were uncapable of many things. No, I was wrong.
But they did have this small dance troupe do a dance, and one of them was really, really good. Like... really good. The others were okay... at least compared to her.
I was going to get a ride home with Racket, but neither of us had gotten our IDs yet. I told him we should go get them, but he just said he would do it tomorrow. Well, I told him I couldn't do it tomorrow, so I called my dad, made sure he could pick me up, and went back to the line.
I waited twenty minutes behind wierdo guys who kept bothering me. "Can I have a hug?" "Will you be my new best friend?" NO!!
Finally, I got my picture taken, and the card printed out.
And after this I'll go pick up my textbooks.
I really can't believe this is happening...
I never though it would. I wish I could stay at the Woods of Brent. Miss you guys!!

"All Day"-- Cody Simpson

I didn't really mean to listen to the whole song, but I had heard the chorus before and couldn't understand what he was saying, so I just looked it up and...
It's okay. His voice is still kinda young. Better than the Beiber, though.
But... he's ugly. And that bothers me.
I give that sone a... six and a half out of ten.

Dance Classe A La Munchkeens

So. Dance class.
I taught the class with Sammy (not the Sam that reads this blog) and her sister, Care Bear.
Right before the first class started was very busy. There were two new students whose mothers kept asking me questions.
One of those kids sat there and refused to do anything. The other did really, really well. I think after a while she can move up to the next class.
I'm glad we didn't run out of things to do.
The next class started out with only three kids. Twenty minutes later, another walked in. By the end of the class, we only had seven kids. It didn't go quite as well as the first class did. It didn't go badly, it just... well, Sammy kinda confused them a lot...
So, yep, day one was successful.
Now about day two...

So I'll give this one a six and a half out of ten.

Me Birthday

My birthday went okay.
Hale called me and sand Happy Birthday, followed up by an hour long talk about... random stuff. Like summer reading books, and the Caylee Anthony case. Which I don't know much about.
Then Elizabeth called.
And Syd texted me. Thanks, Syd. I DON'T HAVE TEXTING!!
My grandparents came, and we had this AMAZING Andes mint chocolate chip ice cream cake. Fancy!
Funny thing is, no one in my family told me Happy Birthday. Well, at least in my immediate family. Elizabeth and my grandparents told me Happy Birthday. But not my mom, dad, or Ch1k3n. And my dad was the only one that gave me a present, although I told Ch1k3n exactly what I wanted, and where he could get one. But my mom got me a lot of stuff from Taiwan, so that counts as a gift, I guess...
And my grandmother gave me a $50 check cause it's hard for her to go shopping, cause she lives out in the middle of nowhere. And I got these AMAZING shoes.
Actually, my shoes have criss-cross lime green and bright blue lines across the sides, but I couldn't find a picture of that style. This is as close as I can get.

But I also kinda want a humorous one. I could find it somewhere, maybe...

*ULTIMATE sigh*

You guys are all at school...
I woke up at 7:40 this morning and at first I wondered if my mom made it to DC yet. But then I realized that the Woods of Brent starts today, and if I was still there, I'd already be waiting by the door.
I took out your schedules and looked at them. A lot of people had Geometry for first period. So at 8:00, just to make me feel better, I did the last part of my Geometry homework for this week. Well, I kinda had to anyway, cause I have class today...

But this is kinda freaking me out...

This Doesn't Make Sense

Earlier this summer, my mom told me that I could practice my violin thirty minutes in the morning and thirty minutes in the afternoon, or pretty much split it up however I wanted, as long as it added up to at least an hour.
So this morning I practiced thirty minutes. Her response?
"You didn't even practice! You only practiced for thirty minutes! You're just making yourself think that you did enough."
"But I'm going to practice another thirty minutes tonight."
"So? Did you practice your All-State music already?"
"No... I'm doing that tonight."
"Then it doesn't matter! Go finish your practice!"
So... I'm guessing I'm just going to have to practice two hours today? Whatever happened to keeping promises?

The Mysterious Benedict Society

And, yet, another book review.
'The Mysterious Benedict Socity' by Trenton Lee Stewart.
It's about four kids who are the selection from a test that hundreds of kids didn't pass. Their names are Reynie, Sticky, Kate, and Constance. They soon learn that they have to go on a mission to stop a man named Ledroptha Curtain who owns a 'learning institute' that actually sends messages through TV and radio to people.
That's all I can really say without giving anything away. Actually, I already gave away some by telling you about Mr. Curtain.
But it's really good, except for the illustrations. The illustrations are out of dimension and somewhat disturbing.
It's a great book, and I would recommend it for... everyone.

I just found out that my grandfather makes THE BEST scrambled eggs.
How does he do it?
Two eggs in a bowl. Mix. Add water (not too much, just a reasonable amount). Mix. Add salt (a LOT). Mix. Put oil on pan. Turn on heat. Wait until pan is hot. Pour eggs on. Constantly mix aroung the eggs in the pan WITH CHOPSTICKS!!!!! (That part excited me.) When eggs are ready, eat.
I still haven't made them as good as he has, yet... I'm pretty close, though!

IN THE MORNING!!!!!!

I SAW THREE BELLS ON CHRISTMAS DAY, ON CHRISTMAS DAY!!!!!!!!!

Pretty Picture...

This is a pretty picture...

BLAM!

"Blam!" is terrible. It's something on Disney that takes the classic "Have a Laugh!" and puts commentary on it.
It's so annoying!!!!

Prank Stars

Anyone seen PrankStars on Disney?
And anyone think that while he's singing the theme song, Mitchell Musso looks like a wet dog?

SO!!!! HOT!!!!!!!

Yesterday we went to see if the studio's air conditioner was still working. It wasn't.
While we waited for the person to fix it, Elizabeth and I took the gymnastics mats and made a fully closed in cube, completely with a roof. We spent ten minutes in there, and it got SO HOT!!!! I had two shirts on, so I took off the top one and fanned us with it. And, seriously, it was so hot that when my dad lifted a corner of the roof, steam came out.
Elizabeth and I were sweating like crazy in there. I mean, I could feel the sweat just rush out...
And when we got out, it was SO COLD!!!!!!! We were drenched in sweat, and wherever we put our feet, we left sweat puddles.
And then guess what we did?
We did what any sensible person would do-- go back in for another ten minutes! (Don't worry, this time we went with dance fans.)
Eventually, though, we just folded the fans back up and started drumming the floor. Then we found out that each wall made a different tone, so we had fun. Yep.

My Birthday Sleepover

So. My birthday sleepover.
Twenty minutes before time, Elizabeth and I were running around, trying to get everything done. Then Fizzy showed up first, just as I guessed. Then Haley came, and the next person after that came thirty minutes later.
At one point I saw a car, sprinted downstairs and out the door, and guess what? It was our neighbor. Yippee.
So, anyway, after everyone got here, I made them do a scavenger hunt on the computer. And for some reason, I didn't connect it well, and it skipped half the things. But that's okay... At the end there was this page that said, "Find the N in the sea of M," and there were no Ns... but that was just to keep them occupated as I ran off and brought back the prize-- colorful flip-flops with cut-up strips of bandana. For the next thirty minutes or so, we tied the strips around the straps of the flip-flops. Then Fizzy kept complaining that she was hungry (she always is) so we went downstairs for tacos.
RIGHT when Hale was about to pray, the doorbell rang, and it was Syd. So we awkwardly watched her make her taco, then we ate.
After dinner we decorated the cake with M&M's, gummy bears, and gummy cherries. Sam did something with the gummies, but... I won't say what. It was... um... hmmm... yeah.
But, anyway, the cake turned out really interesting, complete with a ping-pong table, a swimming pool, M&M smiley faces, and gummy bears trying to impress other bears. (Not my idea.)
After that we kinda sat around until my mom got back to watch the movie, cause she wanted to see it, too. But a couple of minutes before she got back, Nikki came back from volleyball. We played Man in the Dark until my mom got back.
And then we cut the cake and started the movie! We watched Soul Surfer... It's a really good movie. It's fun to watch the other people who haven't seen it squirm in suspense and wondering when she'll get bitten.
Anyway, after that, we were all tired, so we squashed into my room and went to sleep. Nikki left at 6:00 in the morning for volleyball. And when I woke up, Sam was sleeping outside my door.
Breakfast was bacon, eggs, cantaloups, bread... milk, orange juice, lemonade...
We played FlashPlank, a game with a camera, but that didn't work too well, even with the flash.
And shortly after that it was time for them to leave.
Lewz was left last. She was eventually picked up one and a half hours late.
Thank you for coming, Sam, Skandie, and Elizabeth!!

Red Lake

You know that whole thing about a lake in Texas turning red? And this guy says that maybe it's predicting the "End Times"? And he tried to back it up with scripture from Revelation about angels pouring bowls into lakes, and making them red?
Ummm... didn't that happen in Heaven? Wasn't John the one that saw that... in HEAVEN??
Read carefully before you make predictions, people!! This never happened on earth! They're saying that the Bible predicted it, but no, it never predicted it on earth!
At least this guys knows that he might be wrong.

A Child Called "It"

For my summer reading project, I got to choose two books out of six.
For my non-fiction one, I chose "A Child Called 'It'" by Dave Pelzer. This is one on the worst documents of child abuse in California history. This kid has an abusive, alchoholic mother who terribly abuses her oldest son, David, but treats the other children as royalty. She teaches the others to call him "It," and constantly tells him that he is not part of the family-- he only serves as her servant.
He is not allowed to speak unless commanded to. He has to complete every task she assigns on time, or else he's in for a horrible beating, leaving him bruised and bloody. Beatings aren't even the worst for him-- other terrible things his mother has done are forcing him to eat the contents of his baby brother's diaper, forcing him to eat spoonfuls of ammonia, Clorox, and soap, depriving him of food and making him throw up daily to check to see if he's eaten anything, holding his arm over a burning gas stove, smashing his face-first into mirrors, locking him in the bathroom with chemicals mixed to create toxic gas, breaking his arm, purposefully spoiling pork in the refrigerator and have him eat it, and smashing his head against the tile counter to the point where his teeth break.
Luckily, David was taken from his mother by the police. But Richard, one of his younger brothers, wasn't so lucky. He became his mother's next victim in his own autobiography, "A Brother's Journey," where he had bottles of Tobasco sauce poured down his throat and beaten to the point of crying blood and being rushed to the emergency room in an ambulance.
Really hard to imagine this stuff actually happens...
