Violiiiiiiiiiiin

Today I practiced violin for two and a half hours. BUT I did not get bored.
How did I do this, you may ask.
Well, I made a list of things that I could do that would take about five minutes. After I practiced for fifteen minutes, I could choose one of those things to do before going back to practicing.
It worked. I was happy. Between playing violin, I painted a picture, read some stories out of a magazine, and decorated an index card. I WAS about to make a card for Peter Bay, but I didn't quite get around to that...
Then I had to record my chair test for my school orchestra. I didn't do well on my recordings. The last one was closest to okay, so I'm using that one. It's still bad, though. I'm expecting to get last chair. But that's okay, cause I'm a freshman. But... Racket, my freshman friend, will probably get second chair. Cause he's really good. He has time to practice, cause he used to be homeschooled.
I have All-Region in two weeks. NOT GOOD. I'm horrible compared to others. I'm not even going to be close... It's going to be sooooo embarrassing, cause it's a live audition, meaning I'll be playing my audition for seventy-plus people. And that's not even half the people I'll be competing against.
For my other orchestra, the one not for school, I have this HUGE EXTRA-LONG REALLY REALLY REALLY HARD chair test. The level of this music is... Symphony level. Symphony, like, the adult one, the one my violin teacher is in. So I have one week to prepare for that. Yippee. That's on top of my THREE OTHER AUDITIONS I have. (Well, now it's two, cause I just did one of them.)
And that's not even including my HOMEWORK. Which I'll get into on my next post.
The point is, I'm getting up half an hour earlier (which actually is only 7:00... yeah, I know, I'm lucky that I can even consider that early) to practice violin.
