Orchestra Banquet
My orchestra banquet was last night.
I wore a fancy yellow dress I borrowed from a family friend.
It was a potluck, and freshmen had to bring vegetables/salads. I brought a strawberry spinach salad. It was good.
My friend, Harmonica, brought her older brother. His name is Kyle. Kyle was scary. He has long(ish) orange hair that's straight (the doings of his friend) and falls across his face. CREEPY.
Harmonica even made him sit with us while we were eating.
That is, we would have been eating if he wasn't making us laugh so hard.
He made Harmonica drop food on her dress. He said, "Um, Harmonica, you just dropped food on your dress."
"KYLE!! That's cause you hit my arm! It's all your fault!"
"Oh... uh... no, it's not. Not me."
"Right."
"Just go get a napkin, lick it, and-- what? What's so funny about licking a napkin? It's just... licking a napkin."
*he stares at everyone laughing*
"It... wasn't even that funny, guys. It's just licking a napkin."
"Okay, Kyle, where are the napkina?"
"Up there. Go get one."
*pushes Harmonica out of her chair.*
*Harmonica goes to get a napkin.*
*Kyle stares at everyone*
"Great. So now I'm stranded at a table with a bunch of high school girls I don't even know."
Then we were given Superlatives ("Prettiest eyes", "Most likely to be the president", etc.). Harmonica got "Most likely to lose her amusement park ticket and then have to go claim it in front of thousands of people during an awards ceremony", referring to the time where they were on the Disney orchestra trip (I didn't go) and she lost her ticket, and... well... her award kind of explains it all.
I got "Most likely to be an undercover Walmart catalog model" because of the Walmart magazine ad I was in when I was seven years old. It's posted in the Orchestra hall.
I thought my award would refer to when I had Alexandra (I'm not sure if that's what I called him in an earlier post...) drive me halfway across my block to drop me off cause I didn't want Zechariah to know where I lived.
Oh, yeah-- Zechariah was in charge of the Superlatives. So I'm really surprised he didn't say anything about that.
Then seniors passed down items they wanted other people to have...
Well, they were supposed to.
I was the only one who got something. Anna (I was her standpartner during 'The Music Man') gave me her orchestra pencil because I draw in her music all the time. That's true. I do. A LOT.
"There's a possibility that Mr. Stein likes to eat Jello, so he must be Anna's dad!"
Good times...

Way Off Broadway
Amazing.
Amazing, amazing, amazing.
GREAT JOB, SAMMIE!!
(At one point in her duet with Deer, she had to dance badly... which is kinda funny, cause my mom's her dance teacher!)
Deer did the duet with me last year. We didn't go to TCSIT. This year, Sammie and Deer took their humourous duet to TCSIT, and placed! Yay!!

Hi How Are You -- Daniel Johnston
Ever see this little drawing?
It's really famous, at least in Austin, and my dad's friend made it. They went to college together.
He remembers that once they went to McDonald's and were sitting outside when his friend, Daniel Johnston, suddenly stood up and stuck his arm out towards a building. He said, "All hail the skyscraper," and spun in a circle, "hailing" whatever was in front of him. Then he sat down like nothing had ever happened.
Apparently he's both schitzophrenic and bipolar. o.O
Project/Test/Homework
We had a homework assignment that counted as a test grade (I didn't know that before) and I didn't get it done. I ended up with, like, a 59 on it, but I re-did it and now I have a waaay better grade! :)
